I'm out of 4350. Saw a guy locally asking $400 for an 8lb jug...and got it o_O I admire the dedication of the buyer to stick with what he knows, but I jumped ship to RL16. I also got a new rifle which has a 20" Krieger barrel. So now I need to do new rifle load development with a new powder.

It seems ~41.5gr of 4350 behind a 140gr ELDM (what I'm using) was the ticket with Lapua brass (what I'm using). It shoots well out of my 26" MPA, but I also cheated a little bit since 26" barrel 6.5CM load development with H4350 is easy to find on here.

I'm rambling a bit - what kind of changes can I expect with RL16 and a shorter barrel? Is the process generally the same? Start low, do a ladder, find the node, tune for group sizes?

Is there a "known" velocity/node/charge with RL16 and a shorter barrel that "should" work in most rifles? (Similar to 41.5gr H4350?)

Same deal, still have 7ish lbs of h4350, but have 3 6.5creed's and 1 6creed that are fed h4350. I have a 20" 6.5 creed, was running 43.3gr h4350, lapua brass, and 147eldm at 2725fps. Much over 42.1 of rl16 is compressed. I found a nice load at 42.1gr rl16 with 147 at 2685, gonna run with it there. The h4350 load hasn't been chronoed in 700rds, it might not be at 2725 anymore. The throat had moved forward .025 in that amount, I've got the bullet out that amount now, to maintain original .020 jump.
