Ok I bought a new Spikes barreled upper w/o a bcg or charging handle. I have been wanting to get another LAR side charger for my spr type rifle as I almost always run this suppressed and am tired of gas in the eye. I plan to put the old carrier in the Spikes. The LAR comes with a nickle boron carrier and a phosphate bolt.
I got all the parts in the mail this weekend and will assemble it tomorrow night.
The spr type barrel is a Compass Lake with matched bolt. It has 3000+- rounds through it.
The old bolt carrier is definitely going into the new Spikes upper.Should I leave the old bolt with the Compass Lake barrel or use all the new parts the came with the new receiver group?
