What say yall? Yall really think the Russians been shooting our shit down? Not that a Tomahawk is a particularly difficult target.. they're subsonic and AFAIK we aint yet incorporated any evasive maneuvering programming into the avionics/flight software.. to my understanding pretty much just a super advanced V-1 with a different engine & that can actually decide where to hit. So if thats what they took down, I aint surprised nor worried, money wasted aside...

There are Russian systems perfectly capable of neutralizing cruise missles in a static environment. There are also systems and tactics that create problems for those systems. It's an old game of cat and mouse. I don't know if or how many they may have taken out, but I also don't know what tactics we employed to counter their IADS either. As our response was a limited strike, I doubt we played many of our cards. If I was in the planning cell, I would have recommended simple target saturation-send more than they can track and shoot. Some get through.

Basically what they did, 100 something missiles for 3 targets. It was kinda the ol “Merica fuck yea”. Seriously doubt they stopped any!

Although Syria did respond with a after attack of AA.. shoot at the sky and call it air defense!

One point is probably the interceptor missiles are more valuable to replace than the targets that were being hit.
