TacOps X-ray 51 with Surgeon DBM. I currently have @MikeRTacOps making a suppressor for it, which I'm really excited about!

The attention to details on these rifles are amazing.

Mark @ SAC is finishing up my 7 Max. Getting ready to pull the plug on a Tac Ops on a Surgeon. I shot 308 @ 1k for years w 185 Juggers! Sold them all need to get one back in the safe. Hate selling tack drivers than regretting it years later lol.

I’ll post pics of my Sierra.
If you get a tac ops it has to be 308.
Plus you won’t shoot it out after 1500 rounds.
If you have a tac ops rifle you need to stay with a tac ops installed barrel.

    Just my opinion though

Is that on a Manners? Hard to tell from your pic!

I’m not to familiar w Mikes spec rifles. He says he uses McMillan and Manners. I guess I need to learn his different models.

Thinking about a 308 or 300 WM w Mike. That X-Ray is a work of art...

    Altho i demanded a Surgeon Action :p
Or, you could get one of each (a .308 AND a .300WM), although mine are both built on the lowly Remington 700. They don't have the bling of being built on Surgeons' but they just flat-out shoot extremely accurately. Consistently accurately. Consistently, extremely accurately...

22" Tac Ops X-Ray 51 in foreground, 26" Tac Ops X-Ray 66 in back. Both wear PMII 5-25X[56] Gen 2 XR CCWs sitting on 45 MOA two-piece picatinny bases:

Might be time for some one to get involved

    Frank needs accurate 308 shooters..

    “Rise of the tac ops”

I’d post and try out but my ranges are closed.

Nothing wrong w a good old worked Remington action. My experience w some high dollar custom actions has left a bad taste in my ass.

NO...... i can't taste from my ass but it feels like,,,, i have taken it up my ass a few times w one major player!!!! Live and learn!!! 2 strikes and your out. Screw it,,,,,,,, Its only money.

    Here's the full build specs:
    X-Ray 51 on a Surgeon 591 SA
    Surgeon DBM
24 inch Krieger barrel in 6.5 creedmoor 1:8 with blended brake
    McMillan A5 with adjustable comb
    TriggerTech Diamond set at 2lbs.
Mike R's awesome fit and finish throughout

    Wait time was 10 months

Oh and I'm lucky enough to have a TacOps Lima 51 "Classic" since 2015 - Remington 700 action in 308

Here’s a few.... Mike builds the best rifles ever ... his hand engraving work on floor plates prior to coating is second to none. Also the paint work on the stock is amazing too. Check out that 3 round group ..

Wouldn’t these be popular in ftr? Not being a troll but Seriously, do not many people know about them or what?
Well they cost more than most F T/R customs, not built to ride bags, and have short barrels that limit velocity. While .25 MOA would help, a 200.20x at 2600 fps and .5 moa will hold the x ring better. Now, that said if I had a stack of $100 bills a foot tall I would have Mike do a custom for me with a 30" barrel on a Panda with a F class stock.
I have no idea what dedicated FT/R rifles run, and I'm sure any serious FT/R shooter shooting a dedicated (purpose-built) FT/R rifle could smoke my scores, but in the past I've shot 197-12X to 197-15X strings in 600 Yard FT/R matches with my 22" barrel X-Ray 51 using either FGMM 175s' or Black Hills 175s' against dedicated 6.5Lapuas' and 6mmBR rifles using handloads. My aggregate score garnered "Top .308 Score" more often than not and was typically within 8-10 points and 2 or 3Xs of the 6.5s' and 6mmBR. If a .308 beat me it was always a friend of mine who shoots a LH X-Ray 51. Aside from being right-handed and having the KMW ACP my X-Ray 51 is very similar to my friend's X-Ray 51 right down to the Tac Ops Floorplate.

    LH X-Ray 51 with PMII 5-25[56] .01 MIL Gen 2 XR CCW:

Note the smooth, radiused edges and serrated Release Button on this Tac Ops SS Floorplate:

Muzzle and Thread Protector have Class 3 threads for snug, precise fit:

And as always, all the screws on this 10" Anschutz Rail are timed:
