Re: TacGear Softshell Jacket, any opinions or reviews?

Been trying to find a supplier for this kit, I saw their trousers and was impressed but so far, cant find a direct supplier. Have mailed the company direct, when - if I get a responce I'll get the trousers and let you know exactly what there like.

Anyone else own - used TAC gear products ?

I had the same problem...and emails via the Tac Gear wesite asking for detailed sizing info and dealers never got answered.

Shame...cos the spec's looked pretty good.

I'd recommend looking at Arktis and TAD Gear kit as an alternative.....

Agree Basra boy, good quality gear..........some nice clobber as well, im good camo schemes.

Looked a bit more carefully through the TAC gear site, found a UK supplier - landwarriorairsoft.com

Carry all the clothing and it is sensible prices.

Several U.S. suppliers listed, check the specialized trade header, then scroll too U.S. flag, shows stockists.

Here you can find TacGear products, the price is a little high and the shipping fast.

For me it was imposible to get an answer from them, I email them about 5 times lost almost 2 months waiting and nothing. And about their sizes the only info you will get is the one on the site.

I'm never convinced by online size carts that give you single dimensions or just generic S, M,L, XL etc. Too much room for error.

TAD Gear lead the way on online sizing....Tac Gear could learn a few lessons from these guys!

I was lloking for a softshell with no hood but it seems that this TadGEar products are very good acording to veryone's opinion and I'm thinking about getting one. So , would you say that this jackets hoodie is too bulky for use it under a hardshell sometimes??
Thank's For you help.

Re: TacGear Softshell Jacket, any opinions or reviews?

I use my Ranger Hoodie under my Predator hardshell when it gets cold/wet.

The combo works fine.

One advantage of the hood on the Ranger in this configuration is that it keeps the back of your neck warm if you don't need the hardshell hood unrolled

Having said that...the best mix for me is the Special Service Sweater with the hardshell plus the Neck Gaiter and Braincase.
