Tactacam 5.0 and FTS add-on, does it affect the scopes clarity/low light effectiveness?

Hey Tactacam 5.0 and FTS users, it appears that the FTS uses a partially silvered mirror, or something like that, to direct the scope's view to the Tactacam.
I would think this would affect the scopes low light effectiveness and it's clarity somewhat, no?
Any real world user feedback appreciated!

I wanted to use it on a Vortex Venom 5-25x56mm, RPR, 300 WinMag but I think I will lose too much eye relief and, as such, FOV.
May put it on our Savage 223 Rem instead.
