Is it acceptable to haveTac Match loaded ammo with about .2 grains of a difference from your intended charge? For example instead of having 43.0 grains, your dispenser throws 42.8 or 43.2. Will the difference truly have an accuracy effect down range?

I can be a little OCD, and its the reason I take a long time to load ammo. I was either trickling or removing kernels to get to 43 grains. It's getting to a point that I just want to roll my charges straight from the Harrell and to the brass. If so, I'd be able to load a couple of rounds per minute.

The answer is yes and no. If you are in the "node" it will have less effect, but if you are not you will see it at distance.

I set mine to throw .3 grains below my intended charge and trickle the rest.

Might try a RCBS Chargemaster and buy a set of RCBS check weights to go with it.

Tip discussed on here before is to stick a straw in the final 1" or so of the spout which mostly prevents it from throwing too much.

It throws Varget very accurately, and about as fast as I can seat a bullet and reach for the next charge.

Definitely speeds things up.

I'd probably weigh everything for competitions, if I competed.. but I don't. I just throw about everything that I don't plan to play ~800+yds. If I'm feeling ambitious, I'll weigh every 10th or so.

I finally gave up having my electronic scale/dispenser do charges for just that reason. It is usually accurate to +/- .15 grain, but that means that I can have a .3 variance in charge weights, and that is what I use for load testing a 308. So, like other people, I throw the charge light, and trickle up to weight. For those people who use ball powder, it isn't an issue, but with powders like Varget, H4350 and so on, it IS and issue if you want consistency. +/- .3 grains of powder sure shows up on a chrono...
