I have only used the TIS and it's top notch.
Currently I have an Outdoor Connection "Super Sling 2" on my Savage MkII. It's just a basic web sling, but it's setup to adjust with one hand. This is nice when shifting positions or wearing different levels of clothing. I picked it up at Wally World. I was really impressed because it's US Made and comes equipped with Talon Swivels (military grade hardware). All for $16. That's really hard to beat.
I will eventually upgrade it to a TIS to match my .308, but this works well for now.

I have a TIS but like LoneWolfUSMC recently picked up a "super Sling 2" as well - despite the tacky name it suprised the hell out of me for the money!
If you don't need the cuff and are just going to be using hasty sling it would get my vote for general use.
