Can this factory take off barrel be mounted on a Rem 700 short action?

Not as a direct swap, but you can have smith cut it and head space it.

Aren't Tikka's like 1.130" diameter at the shank? Might be a little slim for a 1.063" thread.

The diameter at the shoulder in front of the tennon is also smaller.

Keep in mind, that while very accurate, OEM Tikka barrels generally run a bit “slow” in velocity when compared to a good aftermarket barrel. I was very disappointed with the velocities when I was shooting factory Hornady Amax and H4350 handloads. Then I found Reloder 16...
I still haven’t found RL 26 on the shelf anywhere.

^^^ True - When I shot out my factory Tikka barrel and put a new one on I gained about 150fps. Accuracy on my factory barrel was unbelievable though.

Picked up 130 FPS after rebarreling a Tikka. They are slow but they shoot great!
