Gunsmithing Take off barrels?

Do you guys have a source for old take offs (doesn't matter the condition) for cheap / free to practice on?

I am getting ready to chamber my first barrel and it would be nice to have an actual barrel to practice on instead of a 1" piece of 4140. At least I would have something that I could practice indicating on while I wait for my new barrel.

I have a 300 weatherby sporter take off if you want it. Just pay me for the shipping. It came off a Rem. 700

contact mike r at TacOps, he might have some take barrels for remington 700s.

FWIW sometimes barrel steel can work harden from firing. Not always the case but use caution not to jack up your reamer.
