Gunsmithing Taking out extractor from RPR bolt.

Been on youtube. Cant find any videos of someone actually doing it......any help?

The RPR extractor claw is essentially the same setup as a Savage. There is a small detent ball and spring under the claw. Be careful, those nasty little things have a way of flying all over the place. I put my bolt in a gallon size zip-lock bag with a small pin punch and seal it up. On the RPR you have to push the claw toward the firing pin hole. On installation, you have to push down on the detent ball and spring while sliding the claw back in place. If you encounter problems call that French girlfriend, Finesse.
