Rifle Scopes Talley ring height for new proof barrel?

I'm installing a proof prefit on my Tikka T3 hunter 7mm Rem Mag. It's a sendero contour. Until now I've been using lows with my Bushnell LRHS with the stock sporter barrel, Talley one piece. I'm wondering if I could get away with mediums or if I need to go with highs.

If the scope and rings are already installed, measure the air gap between current barrel and scope bell at the tightest location and compare that value to D/2 of the new proof at that location. D=diameter.
