Haven't been able to find the exact full specs I need to figure my ring height choice. I did read the sticky, but can't find the info to fill into the formula

Talley Lightweights as in
http://swfa.com/Product4.aspx?ProductId=2834

and for the scope Vortex 6-24*50 as
http://swfa.com/Vortex-6-24x50-Crossfire-Rifle-Scope-P43585.aspx

Figured I would see if anyone happened to have the info before I pestered the kind folks at customer service.
Also in the same fashion if someone happens to know offhand for a rem 700 sps varmint which size for the scope it would be much appreciated.

Thank you

Re: talley rings and vortex spec question

http://www.talleymanufacturing.com/cgi-bin/public_controller.cgi

930700 1" Model 700 Low F .400" R .510"

They don't specify if that is to centerline or bottom of ring. Intuitively I say it is not to centerline so we need to add .5" to this to get from top of ring to centerline for a 1" ring. (Make sense?) So now we have a front centerline height of .9".

Using the formula from the Ring Height Info sticky -

.90" which is the .4" + .5" mentioned above
- .98" which is 50mm x 0.5 in inches
= -.08

Talley recommends -
Low Ring Height for scopes up to 44 mm objective with standard barrel contour.
Medium Ring Height for scopes up to 50 mm objective with standard barrel contour.
High Ring Height for scopes with a 56 mm objective with standard barrel contour.
