I've used the standard T/C Icon hunting rifle and liked that, but I don't remember hearing anything about their precision hunter heavy barreled rigs. They're making a model in 6.5 Creedmore that really interests me...

Re: TC varmint rifles

Been looking at them for a while but sure dont see many out in the wild. Would love to see some feedback.

The Precision Hunter in the 6.5 just seems like a great do everything rifle

Re: TC varmint rifles

I have the Encore Pro Hunter, great rifle and I just got an ICON . I am waiting anixously on the scope to get behind it. These guns are great examples of american craftsmanship. I am betting the Varmit will be no different.

Re: TC varmint rifles

I won a TC icon in a raffle, the trigger is ok a little bit heavy for me but has a clean break. W/O any load development it grouped 1/2" on 3 rounds which is factory spec if i remember correctly.

My son has laid claim to this one. I had him prep all of the brass & load it. I guess it is his now.

I am sure you will like it. I had williams gun sight install a brake on mine, well my sons, good brake for the pencil barrel. Price was $203-$206 total including installation & thread protector. Keep us updated, let us know how it shoots.

I've had the Icon Precision Hunter in 6.5CM since July, the trigger is OK but sometimes it has a little creep and other times its like a glass rod. With the first load I tried its putting 5 rounds at 200 yards into an inch so I stopped looking. Its a great deer gun...
