So I am barely awake, get my morning coffee and start listening to the smooth calming sounds of Mike and Adam talk. At the end of the episode podbean autoplays the previous episode. Next thing I hear loudly is frank "GET IN LOSER, WERE DOING BUTT STUFF! LMAO
Situation: You mock up a round (Bullet & Brass) and have a barrel chambered for it. During load development you can't get less than a 1 inch or 3/4 inch group.
Questions: Has anyone seen this happen? Do you start to change bullets and look for what the barrel likes? When you custom chamber a barrel to match a round do you have a better chance the barrel will like the bullet?
Ok so if I was acting attention Adam does his ladder test with varying oal. Is mag length considered max if you can’t reach the lands at mag length. And can you give a run down of a ladder test. If I’m thinking right it would go something like 41grn 2.80. 2.70 2.60 41.3grn 2.80 2.70 2.60 And a few more charge weights with the different oal’s. How many of each oal? 3 I’m assuming. How much do you adjust seating depth while runnning the ladder?
