I just wanted to publically thank Bartien Barrels for their excellent customer service. I know that you really can't go wrong with all the major barrel makers, but for my up coming build, I wanted a Bartlein as I felt it was "the best". I knew the wait would be a while, so I called Bartlien in anticipation of this and after getting some very helpful advice, I ordered a M40/M24 .308 "tight bore" barrel. I was quoted 6-8 months as I had expected. You can imagine my surprise when the barrel showed up in my doorstep a less than 6 weeks later. I know I got lucky and happened to order a very popular barrel, so my wait time was reduced, but everytime I called Bartlein to ask a question, I was always dealt with in a very helpful, friendly and professional manner. Their barrels performance speak for themselves, but Bartlein Barrels customer service is every bit as good. I can't wait to get my rifle back from my gunsmith. I have no doubt it will be a shooter.
