It amazes me how many criminals get caught with a tail light out or by speeding.

Also could it be a decoy? You know, the big fish sitting in traffic now. I always wonder that on drug busts. Caught the guy with 100 kilos while the guy with 1000 drives by.

Edit: Apparently that link has been updated quite a bit since I last read it, before it just stated a truck full of ammonium nitrate exploded with very few details other than the driver was killed.

There has been quite a few explosions and major industrial accidents all over the world lately. The Arkansas truck explosion and the ITC tank farm fire that has exposed God knows how many communities to highly carcinogenic smoke. Then we got the blast at the nitrate plant in China a few days ago that occurred right in the middle of an urban area. Death toll from this one is almost approaching 100 now. Also a few years ago, another fertilizer manufacturing plant went kaboom in Tianjing with the output of a tac-nuke.

As someone who comes from an industrial background, I just have to say that many folks are really not aware of how even the most minor fuck up with volatiles and oxidizers can snowball into apocalyptic proportions faster than you can blink.

When I was undergoing my CDL and Hazmat certs, number one thing that was mentioned was checking those fucking double tires on all placarded vehicles for tires that are touching or debris lodged between them that can cause friction. I ALWAYS took that shit seriously.

It's really close to a federal prison @ Hazelton. That would involve the FBI.
1/2 mile from the prison to the WV Welcome center.
No need to tell the locals or the ones on the WV side would be in the woods looking and the ones on the Maryland side would be shaking in their locked homes.
Probably where they were holding Raymond Redington.

As a citizen concerned about the well being of my community and my neighbors, I would demand to know why the road was closed.

There could have been a spill of dioxins, organophosphates or even an infectious substance and many people could be exposed without even knowing about it.

Traffic stalled for 5 hours...On I-81 Ive seen it shut down for 30 hours from an 18 wheeler accident. Thats why I always keep at least 1/3 tank of gas and some food, water, and gear, when traveling the interstates.

Stopped for speeding. Obviously, we're dealing with a criminal mastermind...

Troopers conducted a traffic stop about 10:30 a.m. for speeding in the eastbound lanes near Bruceton Mills. The traffic stop resulted in an investigation that led to the shutdown of the interstate.

Used to be the case, they had the WVA Ordnance Works (shut down in 1945) as well as many other explosives factories and storage facilities all over the state. It has tapered off lately (the last 10-15 years), but their industrial chemical capacity for explosives remains significant.

Wonder how is much of the broken tail light / speeding is really "parallel reconstruction " where the evidence was gained in some illegal way nsa spying or otherwise
