Anyone know a source for the covers on Harris bipod springs. It appears to be a simple hard tubing that is cut in a spiral pattern. Or do you purchase the tubing and cut it. It does dampen the spring noise at times.
    Thanks,
    RTH

Never seen what you a referring to, but it sounds like you are describing cable wrap.

If I were looking for something to do that job, I think I would try a thin wall silicone tubing.

Edit: I don’t have my Harris in front of me, but if all you are looking for is damping the spring noise, squeezing something like automotive fuel or vacuum line inside the spring coil should accomplish this without you even seeing it is there. Just a thought...

    Thank you, Looks like this.

I've been using black duct or gorilla tape for about 15 years now.

This .. I also just put gorilla tape around springs for quiet night hunting .

I also got sick of all the LOUD 'twanging' noises, and I just disassembled took out and threw away the internal leg rebound springs on my long high-Harris bipods that I use at night hunting .

It is just hard plastic tubing that is spiral cut.

Yeah, pretty much. I've used it for wiring and a similar product but thicker to protect hydraulic hoses. Mcmaster carr is another place to look for what you are wanting. You may find something else that you like better on there.
