i remember when i use to buy primers for about $10 per thousand, not its close to $40,
the thing is i can afford the $40 primers now better then i could afford them when they were $10. I bought a new model 70 in '74 for $235, i bought one a few years ago was just north of $800. It took me a lot longer to come up with the $235.
It all evens out.
Use to be what with working a full time job, going to college, raising a family, and running a ng unit, i had a hell of a time squeezing time in to shoot. My kids are grown and all of them are doing well, they certainly are doing better then i did at that age. I have good pensions, everything is mostly paid off, wife will be well taken care of when i go under . I have a back yard range, i'm retired, my biggest problem is "what am i gonna shoot today"?
I'm thinking the good old days are now.
