Stumbled on this on cable...

So far, about 30 minutes in... it's pretty formulaic. Looks kind of low budget. Ex Marine Sniper vs. Cartels. But Liam Neeson ain't bad.

Nice M14!

Looking like it's going to be a fun watch.

**** WARNING **** Read on before you watch this POS movie.... **** END WARNING ****

Well, I want my two hours back.

What a sack of shit of a movie that is.

I only sat through it, ultimately, so I could honestly post here that I watched it and no self-respecting American should watch that POS.

Carry on.

Edit... Liam Neeson is a POS IRA-loving terrorist supporter... Maybe you should try directing an Alec Baldwin movie, Finian f&*ktard!

About what I expected to hear. I've been boycotting his movies since he shot his cock holster off about guns at the Taken 3 premiere.

MF'er made i think 35 million on that movie portraying an American gun slinging badass but then wants to MF gun culture in America 🖕

I don't watch any of his shit any more, or any of the rest that pipe off. Matt Damon is same story, he can eat a satchel of richards too.

This popped up on my suggested items a while ago. Haven't watched it yet because of LN.

Speaking of shifty movies, The Wall is terrible. Stay far the fuck away from it.

When I saw your excitement at the movie's potential, I couldn't help but chuckle to myself and thought "just wait..."

The new Clint Eastwood flick, Cry Macho, was miles better, both as a western in specific, and a film in general. I really hope Eastwood has one more good movie in him before he goes, but I'd understand if he hung up his hat, as he's really getting up there in years, and it definitely showed in the way he had to set up scenes and shots to work around his physical ability.

He'll probably die in a directors chair...

He won't quit. He has so many projects he wants to get done that he would be directing until he'es 150 if he can.

If he wanted to quit, he could have retired with millions years ago. No... he is on a mission to tell more stories. And I hope he does live to 150!

I hope Liam Neeson gets hit by a van.

Good call. I amended my opening post to include a warning.

It says "WARNING."

I'd hate to have someone start to watch this POS without reading further.

I agree with you in both directions. Mr. Eastwood is, as much as is possible, a bright light in what is otherwise a horrible and dark industry, at least to my knowledge. I hope he has it in him to tell a few more of those stories before he passes over.

If only Mr. Neeson would have the courtesy to go fight a pack of wolves armed with nothing but a fist full of broken glass.

After getting into long range shooting and thereby becoming familiar with the appropriate equipment used by said shooters in competition, actual sniper applications (military or otherwise), and operation of said equipment, I have a VERY hard time watching while also respecting most "sniper" movies or scenes. I cannot tell you how many times I see clear as day a ultra-high mounted Wal-Mart-sourced Weaver scope atop a rifle intended to be depicted as some kind of long range/precision firearm. I have seen rooftop "snipers" picking off bad/good guys with a scope where the actor hadn't even taken the scope caps off of whatever scope was on it. I have seen snipers with capped hunter turrets. I have seen snipers adjust windage in place of elevation and vice versa. I have seen snipers adjust elevation for some 1,200 yard shot without even one full twist around.

It's just ruined these movies. I swear if they would simply consult with me or someone like me, they'd get it right. Feels like these armorers on set are familiar with old-timey pistols and lever guns and that's about it. Someone needs to educate them on proper long range rifle builds and use.

Isn't it weird that Clint Eastwood can direct movies at 90+ years old and hold coherent conversations and give coherent speeches?

I guess not every old guy out there can... a'hem.

Just about every movie out of Hollywood sucks, isn't realistic and doesn't follow the history of actual events.

I watched "Enemy at the Gates." Then I read Zaitsev's book. If the writer is to be believed then the movie was a work of complete fiction.

I watched "The Revenant." Then I read about the real Hugh Glass. Again, the movie got a lot of stuff wrong.

Go clear back to "My Darling Clementine" with Henry Fonda playing Wyatt Earp. They got the story of Tombstone and the gunfight near Fly's Boarding House completely wrong.

A lot of people even raved about "Saving Private Ryan." Although the special effects were pretty good, they had a lot of errors in that movie. The two biggest errors that I saw in that movie was the sound of bullets "whizzing" by the Americans on the beach. The German MGs were 200-300 meters from the Czech hedgehogs so there would the "cracking" sound and not a "whizzing" sound. The other error was when the squad of men tasked with saving PVT Ryan would stop their mission and make the captured German dig a grave.

I was going to watch the movie "Greyhound" then decided against it when I saw a scene when the U-boat Skipper taunts the destroyer escort from an underwater speaker. Like that is really going to happen. If that were to occur, Admiral Dönitz would have had the Skipper shot as soon as they got back to port.

The old Looney Tunes were more realistic than anything to ever appear on the silver screen with real people.

While I'm on a rant, I'm sick of seeing videos of little girls that don't weigh more than 110 pounds kick the asses of men that are twice as big and never break a sweat. They can do that in divorce court but not in real life.

Not to hi-jack this thread but I submit this for those that like movies. There are errors in every movie. IMHO, they can never make artillery look accurate in any movie.

With that being said, I think this was a great movie. I don't think the fairies in Hollywood had anything to do with it.

I can’t watch his movies, he just plays the same worn out role again and again.

Also just another shitty dancing monkey to makes money playing with guns while saying everyone else has no right to self defense / 2A

Fuck him with a cactus.

I don't watch Liam Neeson. He is anti gun but plays bs gun toting action figures.

I might have watched it if the review made it worth it. Hulu paid for it whether I watch or not.
