' The Missing ' . Season # 1, and # 2
Watched it on STARZ .. ( amazon prime ) . I watched season 1 last week, and then season 2 this week . I don't know how I missed this one till now, it is really solid, and If your into the good Crime, Drama/physiological thriller . Both seasons 1 & 2 are really very very well done with good cast and story line .
It is a BBC with STARZ co-production . season 1, originally released in 2014 . and then season # 2, in 2017 . In both season 1 & 2 center around the main character and detective Julien Babtiste, played by Tcheky Karyo , he was the perfect cast for part and this guy does a spectacular job playing the detective .
( season 1 ) . They do it very well, but I not a big fan ( when over doing it ) in the story telling technique of jumping back and forth ( past - present ), in story/date time-line, as some directors choose to do . They push it here but do it well and story is solid enough to keep you at it .
Season 1 does this a lot and you need to pay attention to catch the details as they lay them out, and then you putting back together crucial crime details in the proper Calendar order in your mind . but your brain kicks-in pretty fast and gets it done . It is directed and the story is good enough to pull it off though .
Season 2 story . They cut-back a little on this technique and season #2 is real good and maybe even better than season one . The 2nd season also has the actor ( david morrissey ) . who was the crazy 'governor' in Walking Dead series . and does a good job in season 2, as the main family father character of one of the kidnapped .
