Cruise did the role with the idea that it would lead to a series of Mummy movies. Bad flick.

I watched it a couple times. I was mostly shocked because I didn't know that the movie ever existed until it showed up on netflix.

I hate to admit that there are some Tom Cruise movies I like. The Mummy wasn't one of them.

Overall Universal royally fucked up the monsterverse. The best they did was mediocre.
