The Chinese scientists were supposedly inappropriately sending samples from the Canadian Level 4 lab to the Chinese weapons level 4 lab in Wuhan in Sept.-Oct last year, before their "work" was discovered by RCMP and all the Chinese were "dis-invited" from Canada and kick out out of the Country and sent back to China. The concern is the the samples were fractured in transit in Wuhan, or their handling of the samples was f'd-up in the weapons lab there.

Some news article about the ejection of the Chinese from the Level 4 lab in Canada:

Chinese researcher escorted from infectious disease lab amid RCMP investigation | CBC News

Scuttlebutt is theLevel 4 Canadian lab was apparently working on alteration of strains to facilitate human to human transmission, on the type of virus that's now loose. You can take a look at the virus and see if it's lab altered by looking at the protein covering on that virus, if you can get a sample, that will show if it was modified to weaponized.

Since it's virus, there is really no way to Tx it other than control the symptoms, e.g. dehydration via saline drip, etc.

Victims will die of dehydration. If not put on hydration. Maybe 30% fatality if not treated, just a guess????

Apparently transmission occurs for quite a while before symptoms occur, so it will spread like wildfire. Hope i it works out OK, but this may not. Good luck to all. See you in Valhalla.
If it has a 30% mortality rate, we in for some shit.

I may have missed it but has the transmission mechanism been identified?

Is it airborne?

This appears to be seriously worse than the virus which caused the 1918-1919 worldwide flu pandemic. That killed estimated 50 million people worldwide and 675,000 people in the United States. There were about 2 billion people in 1918, and about 8 billion people now, a factor of approximately 4 times, so if this goes around is about the same magnitude as 1918, well, you can do the math in terms of casualties. But this shit, based on reports from the front, makes it seem to be a lot worse than that strain. Chairman Xi of China announced today that people with it are infectious for an unknown period before they have any overtly noticeable symptoms. He didn’t have any choice, the genie is already out of the bottle there.

If in fact people can transmit the disease before they have any overtly noticeable symptoms, you can guess how broadly this may spread.

I bet the people on this flight are a bit nervous today.

How long before we see an outriight travel ban? Or will we? Likely too late anyways. Contagious well before symptoms...

If havent already. Probably a good time to prep with some basic supplies. Doesnt take much to get a months worth of basic provisions. Might not be all that comfortable but still enough to get by.

Just went out and bought 80 N95 masks, nitrile gloves, isopropyl alcohol, 4 goggles, bleach, 4 super size bottles of hand sanitizer...

If you haven’t already done so, Id also stock up on food items, anything in a can or otherwise a long shelf life that you can convert to meals if you have to be confined to your homefor an extended period of time.

Also a generator with plenty of fuel in the event power goes out to keep stuff cold in the fridge.

Pandemics concern me more than any other potential disaster. Especially ones that originate in China, where conditions are ripe for a super plague.

I don't think we are going to see a widespread pandemic in this country.
Not that being prepared is a bad idea, but in most of this country, you are more likely going to be exposed to this year's flu (which seems pretty bad), than something from China.

We have better healthcare, and more importantly, much more distance between people than in China, so things that spread easily in crowded Chinese cities may not spread as easily here.

That being said, if there is an issue the FIRST thing we should do is shutdown the schools and tell all the kids to stay home with their parents.
Schools are probably one of the biggest places where sickness gets spread to the population at large.

Hearing 12 days is the incubation period. If correct, that’s a lot of time that someone can travel while communicable without showing symptoms.

The latest figures on the infection as of now:

Over 2,400 cases and 80 deaths.

Another 1,300 bed infectious disease hospital is being built near the site of the first, which is slated to open on February 3. Prefabricated building components have been seen being delivered by rail into Wuhan. China's president Xi Jinping has declared a "People's War" against the illness, decreeing the mobilization of all resources and manpower to fight the pathogen. The last time in which a People's War had been declared by the CCP's main military wing at that time, the 8th Route Army, from it's headquarters in Yunan, was during the second Japanese invasion of China in 1937. From CCTV-13.

The Chinese bureaus of commerce and public health had also issued an immediate ban on the trafficking of wild animal meat, with severe penalties for those who try to defy the ban.

Mongolia looks to be a beautiful expanse of grassland/high desert based on an article I saw about fishing for their local salmonoids while waiting for a barber chair to open.

Only issue I think is that summer is from 1200 hrs until 1930 on June 21st and everything else is weather wanting to kill you.

The more beautiful a place is, the more perilous the conditions there. And that is often why these places are beautiful. The steppes are just as prone to tornadoes, supercell thunderstorms, and high sustained winds as the American midwest, and often much more extreme. The most dangerous and dramatic period however, is every year between August and October. That is when it seems that the entire Takla Makan is lifted into the sky and then dropped on the flatlands below.

Gao Yuan Lan (The Plateau is Blue), also called "Blue Sky, Blue Earth". By Wulan Touya. From album "Nature's Songs: Mongolia". Sang in Mandarin.

They need more living space...Assuming a major over-population driven “correction” doesn’t happen in the next 50 years or so, I imagine they will expand north into Siberian Russia, whether by consent/agreement or conquest.

Either way, I’d be concerned if I was Putin and start planning accordingly.
Already happening. You think the US/Mexico border is porous...

Lol, our border is a model for security and integrity compared to what’s happening over there. Putin keeps running his mouth about nuclear powered cruise missiles, invincible fighter planes and doomsday torpedos while his country is being taken from him right under his nose haha. What a dumb ass...

Reportedly over 110 people in 26 states are being monitored for the virus.

as we all know china lies for a living...dont believe the numbers

it much worse over there then they are reporting as expected

china is using over 100,000 clean suits/smocks a day

thats not 1000 sick people in a few hospitals...

pictures of dead bodies on the hospital floor with sheets over them/full body, when staff was asked about condition... they were "OK".

It is obvious that they are under reporting the real situation. 50 people dead in china doesnt justify this kind of panic. for fucks sake, i bet you 50 people a day choke on noodles in china; and no one would give a fuck. I shudder to think how bad it actually is for them to be scrambling like they are. The cool thing about viruses are....they dont give a fuck what your social status or “score” is.

I’m guessing we will find out here stateside what the story is with it. But i suspect china And other heavy populated areas will get it far worse than here. But then again, it could be that all bets are off. Time will tell

I have been taking China’s reported figures and adding two orders of magnitude. I think that represents a clearer, more truthful depiction of the facts on the ground over there. In that light, suddenly building entire hospitals from scratch and other activities, disclosure patterns make more sense.

It seems to me that this Virus is really hammering the elderly and those with pre-existing conditions.

Basically it’s the boomer’s nightmare.

I’ve only heard of a handful of child cases, which leads me to believe that perhaps children are mostly asymptomatic or carriers.

two orders linear or logarithmic? I think it is exponentially worse for them to have an "oh crap" moment like they re having. These are people who carelessly displace hundreds of thousands of citizens to build a dam. For them to build hospitals to try too contain it means it is a big threat.

If they tell me 8 fatalities I assume it’s more like 800. It’s prob a lot worse than that, anyway so either way, my point was their disclosures are bullshit and it’s much much worse than advertised. Perhaps I’ll start using 10^3 or 10^4....

Seems cali sure does get hit with a lot of pain, God might not take a liking to their lifestyles?

Generally, What goes around comes around however there are some good people over there, including Hide members but they are all vastly outnumbered by commie leftist fucks and have to suffer because of it. A real shame.

Meanwhile, yesterday in the US...

- 197 people died from Type II diabetes
- 1315 people died from tobacco use
- 241 people died from alcohol abuse
- 99 people fell to their deaths
- 177 people OD'd or were otherwise poisoned
- 219 died from the ordinary flu

Got a lot of other shit to worry about before this bug becomes an overriding priority.

perhaps, but other than the flu, none of that applies to me in the least.

on the other hand, some bat-snake moneky fucking virus is not exactly something i can control, hence my reluctance to ignoring this.

As much as I generally hate conspiracy theories, the "bug got loose" theory does carry some weight.

It's declassified now, but back in the 80's, the Soviets had an outbreak of "the flu" in Leningrad (current day St. Petersburg), with an announced 2000 deaths as a result. At the time we knew it was anthrax that got loose from a lab, but never officially made an issue of it. After the wall came down, years later it was learned that something like 200,000 people died from that little mishap. Bugs do get loose....
