Anyone else watching this. They state at the beginning of each episode that 'it is based on actual events' blah blah blah and that 'some things have been changed for directorial license'.

Or something of that nature. Point being, what they're showing with the advent of creating NASA to begin with, is very interesting. Redstone rockets, Werner Von Braun, Starlight hotel,,,,

Better watching than the vast majority of crap that is on eleventy-bazillion other channels.

Interesting that the series do not mention that women pilots were also tested and scored higher than the men in the test but that Glenn protested that women should not be included in the astronaut program.

This is about the part where we are, so far. My question regarding this is,,,,, were they, REALLY,,,, or is this part of the 'directorial license' that is disclaimed at the beginning of each show? Because, well, you know.... current hype?

Personal and individual merit are what get's one a position and earns them the opportunity for advancement. Just voting for a plumbing system is illogical. I don't care which way you look at it.
