A lot of people born after 1983 are pretty soft, even the .mil types. A lot aren't, though.

Big grab bag of combinations of personal traits like intelligence, sanity, integrity, strength, endurance, dexterity, and will.

Where all those folks fall on the political spectrum and the measure of the degree with which they are familiar with the fuckery that has been going on in this country/the globe for the last 300 years would both vary quite a bit, with trends towards hopelessness/apathy and only being somewhat familiar with shit that went down after 9/11, and even then, probably just stuff America was involved with directly.

No idea what it'd take to get all the smart, honest, sane ones that could move some weight if need be off their asses at about the same time. It'd have to be something pretty remarkable.
