Always wanted one, never ponied up. Hated the ammo itself, but there was some cool ammo out there, but the combloc stuff was everywhere and stupid cheap. Just doubt that it was very accurate.

I think the rifle looks silly if you put a modern optic on it and the old stuff leaves a lot to be desired.

One of SF ODAs ran a sniper school for the Indian Army and National Security Group.

The regular Indian Army soldiers had SVDs and would put out big canvas tarps to account for each round of brass. The NSG guys had VERY pricey HK PSG-1s with Hensoldt scopes.

The regular soldiers took instruction well and had no chips on their shoulders. The NSG guys were stand-offish.

Surprise. At the end of the course the Army guys beat the NSG guys with their Gucci Euro gear.
