Seen that an thought, why is this news in the first place? Everyone knows ticts are above the law. If the law does not apply to them it damn sure does not apply to me! The rule of law is dead an I see very hard times ahead for LE on all levels. This kind of shit will get out of control quickly an many will not survive the choices they make. No matter which side they are on!

Perception of law is the only thing stopping good men from doing evil things, when that perception is gone the body count of those who have/do fuck over this country, will quickly rise.

I understand the need for "can't be arrested while congress in session". Opponents could swing votes by arresting the opposition. But for them to use it as a free pass to lawlessness is wrong. Giving a guy a ticket is not an arrest. So why are they immune?

They are immune because they say it's so; and they have the ability to append this stuff to must-pass legislation, like the Omnibus Spending Bill...

It might be useful to keep better track of the sponsors of such amendments for later review, or something...

What WAS news was a long while back when one actually did pay the fine, saying he wasn't above the law. Wish I could remember who that was. Probably did it only because of the brownie points though.
