Movie Theater The Way Back

Re: The Way Back

Watched it this week. Great flick. An action movie where the most of the action is psychological. They start out competing to the death for any resource in the gulag, then they gradually turn into a community that survives by cooperating.

Also found it interesting how the more talented or intellectual of the Poles managed to enhance their survival by using their talents to ingratiate themselves to the ruthless Russian criminals.

In general I find Colin Farrell a horrible actor but the role of a Russian criminal suited him. And I agree with ZLBubba's comment (a threat that predates this one) that this was Ed Harris' best role in years.

True story, too, BTW. Very anti-communism (by example) without being preachy.
