Looking for thermal scope to start out hunting hogs. Any suggestion or tips would be appreciated. Budget is somewhere around 2k. Thx

I’ve heard good things about agm. I have there tm35-384 scanner and the image quantity is very very good for the price.
Is anyone familiar with HCCTAC website? Any reviews or feedback?

You don’t have many options for thermal optics at $2000 other than ATN. Honestly, those will be junk though and not worth the $2000 compared to what you can get for $2600-3200. Burris BTS-35 $2600 and AGM Rattler $2600, not sure which is best but my buddy has the Burris BTS-50 and likes it. You can get the Hogster R for $2675, Hogsters are great scopes. But....you can get the Super Hogster at $3200 and more than satisfied, everyone loves it. Very clear image for a 384 sensor. And anything Pulsar is excellent, but you’re looking at $3200 and up for those. A lot better options listed here than the low grade ATN’s.
I would stay away from ATN simply due to after the sale service if you need it. I have an acquaintance with one that was great for about 6 months and then poof had to re-zero after switching batts/losing power in addition to all settings would go back to factory. He hounded ATN for about 6 months all he got was voicemail and automated email responses no one ever lifted a finger to even offer sending it in. If you can find one the Pulsar RXQ 30 is fantastic. I ran my hard for 3 years and sold to a friend and 2 years later still killing hogs. No DVR, CR123 batts, but I piled literal trailers full of hogs with it. Dual role scanner/shooter with QD mount. As much as we want these expensive toys to be flawless with no issues they do develop issues from time to time and that is where you will love having one from a company with great CS. This is where Pulsar and Night Vision Outfitters shines due to their industry relationships.
