Rifle Scopes Thermal Weapon Sight

Does anyone have any recommendation on a thermal weapon sight (i.e., FLIR) or on where to buy one?

The prices on ones I've seen vary from about $10,000 to $28,000 which is way more than I'm willing to pay for a recreational item though I might spring for something in the $2,500 range if something that's good is available for that price.

I'm with 308. I've never seen thermal for that price, but you can buy a fine traditional NV for that. You might even be able to find a White Phosphorus Tube, used, for 2500. They are nice and the picture is very similar to a thermal, as it is white/black, rather than green/black.

You better give up your dream then, because if you don't have $10,000 + you won't find a thermal sight worth the parts it's made of.

Thanks for the replies and suggestions. I won't buy anything at all if all I can get is junk.

Hopefully, as technology progresses, prices will come down.

They are all in the $10,000 + range for now, but like you said as technology progresses, hopefully prices will come down. I'd like one myself.

I just bought one for my work, and we got it just under 10K-- that was with GSA pricing. I found nothing lower.
