This event was local to me. I know a few parents that have kids at that school. My kids are in a different district so I haven't seen what security measures have been taken there since. In our district multiple LEOs are onsite during morning arrival now. They watch all the students walk in, though I'm interested in what would cause them to take action given that the boy in the other district rode the bus and the walked right in.

I wonder, given all the "distractionary devices" that the media describe him as having, if he didn't lose his nerve at the last second and stop short of wiping out his homeroom. Shame for the parents, but I wish all mass murderers would just say fuck it and do themselves in, even the seventh-grader ones.
