i have a YHM QD SS phantom that i should be getting around new years that i bought to go on my .308 5R.

my question, is the YHM i have coming magnum rated? i know they are full auto rated but not sure about the magnum. i already checked the website, but i didn't see anything.

also, how would you compare a suppressed 300WM?

when i originally inquired about the 5R, i wanted a 300WM but decided on the .308 due to cost and trying to preserve my shoulder. well, i still want the 300.

Re: thinking of a 300 win mag

I have had this very same question time after time and the response I received from YHM, in a email was, "the Phantom is rated for any 30 caliber rifle". I posed this question because I had a string of customers that kept asking if it would handle a 300 RUM.

As far as comparison, my 300WM with an Ops Inc 3Rd Model Recoils like a 308 and sounds like a 22. I shoot it with 208s at 2875fps and 190s at 3000fps. It Smacks steel at 1000 with AUTHORITY.

As soon as my SWFA 5-20 gets here, I'll be shooting my .300wm with a SS YHM.

It's a magical round loaded with a .208 amax and 70 grains of varget
