This ones for QQ & the Florida boys...

Re: This ones for QQ & the Florida boys...

Fuckers haven't gotten this far north yet (Tampa) but it's just a matter of time.

Since snakes aren't protected by the constitution I don't feel it inappropriate to ask what the hell anyone needs with a snake that grows to 15-20' long and, ...what was it...Oh yeah, kills people, pets and useful critters.

Wish we could hunt the assholes who let these pythons loose too.

They were first found in the glades as early as 1979 and I can find nothing about the herpitarium other than the general destruction wreaked by Andrew at the Miami Metro Zoo. Lots of critters escaped but the python problem is almost entirely attributed to imbeciles who could no longer deal with their giant as fuck snakes and let them go...

I was talking with some friends in South Florida who are going to go out and try and get a couple. I've seen too many B Horror movies to know going into the swamp in search of a giant python is a bad idea.

Just imagine all the producers in Hollywood contemplating all the "reality" shows based on the hunters who will go after this plague of snakes!

A few months from now people will be discussing the pathetic drama of these snake hunters much the same way they do Honey Boo Boo or the moonshine, gold mining, ice road, pawnshop, tattoo, house flipper, housewife, etc., flakes...

In the meantime, we won't have to worry about the disgusting legions of coward-psycho-pussy-no talent-nobodies seeking fame by killing unarmed people because Feinstein made us all safe...

Re: This ones for QQ & the Florida boys...

There was an outstanding show on this on Nat Geo... comes up regularly, but is on invasive species w. Florida's problem especially highlighted. They brought up Andrew which not only released from zoos/breeding operations, but released thousands from houses that were damaged.

And for decades, people have taken the snakes that got 'too big' and just let them out. They are all cute in a dorm room... but once they get too big to handle, release the critters. The snakes aren't the only dangerous problem, either. Apparently large Monitor lizards are the next big wave of invasives that are a threat to people, pets, livestock, etc.

The hunt is a great idea! I am amazed, though, that it is coming to pass. I figured there would be some busybody who would stop it in its tracks.

I'd love to do it... but those things also aren't to be messed with lightly. Bad bites (not poisonous, though) are one. And once they hit about 12 feet... are you hunting them, or are they hunting you? As mentioned above, flat-hatting through the everglades looking for giant snakes may not end well for some. But I'd still love to do it!

Cheers and happy hunting Florida folks!
