‘End Family Fire’ campaign targets gun owners promoting safer gun storage
A coalition led by the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence unveiled “End Family Fire,” a campaign focused on preventing the eight gun-related tragedies that occur daily because of improperly stored weapons. The campaign was produced in partnership with the Ad Council and Droga5.

Meh, seems harsh but life is that way. Fact is a lot of people are stupid (not just guns). That kid looked old enough to be taught gun safety as should the wife. When my daughter and her friends were younger (15 years ago) i was much more anal about gun storage when I was not around. Now that she is older and has been taught proper use. And my wife is more accepting of her roll as protecter I have become more relaxed. BUT when the grand-kids start I will "child proof" the house again.

Tears me to pieces when I hear about a child dieing tragically. Not just from guns. My feeling is Boddie Miller and his wife should be charged with child neglect. These are not unpreventable accidents.

I dont have issue if they want to run that as a commercial. I have issue with storage becoming law. I also have issue when the same media does not show the other side of the coin and report on the equal or larger number of violent crimes stopped each day with weapons.

We have a great law in WA: safes used for gun storage are tax free here. Combine that with a scratch and dent model at a safe warehouse (like a Costco for safes) and you can come out with some serious safe for a great deal. TL30x6 is what you want, but TL15 will be better than any gunsafe and a scratch and dent on one of those should be a really good deal because insurers started requiring x6's a while back, so there's probably still a glut of the older TL30's and TL15's, which for our purposes are still way better than a gunsafe, or RSC.
