Those with the Commerative M40's?

Wanting a favor from anyone here with one of the Rem M40 replicas...what type of finish is on the stock? Is the grain filled or does it just have an oil finish??? Anyone with a closeup pic showing the grain/finish???

Without actually seeing their finish up close I can't tell if the grain is filled or not???? Can anyone tell me if it is just an oil finish with pores still open or is the surface flat/smooth with no pores showing????

Sorry to be so so so 'picky' but never seen one up close to see for myself.

Nothings filled. It sucks up lin speed oil.

Thank You my friend. Didn't want to start on the finish of my latest project until I knew. Was pretty sure the grain wasn't filled but then I have been really really wrong in the past.lol

Will post some pics when I am done. Not a 308, still haven't got to that one yet but getting closer.
