Just met a firend of mine with one of those scopes. If I knew you need an opinion, I would've asked. He put it on his SL8 and seems to be happy with his decision.

They are quite popular for hunting rifles I understand.

Here are my five cents worth,

the optics are great, the rangefinder works within there limits, low light, fog, glare small objects and so on,

for a hunting piece I would get one asap, for just shooting and or the rigours of the tactical field, I would spare the scope and get something els like a S&V PMII.

Best regards Chris

Will be primarily used for hunting so this looks promising. Cant wait.... there's supposed to be a remote trigger for the range finder, and the responsetime on the range finder is supposed to be quite good.

What are you going to hunt? I presume distances may get a bit long in Norway. But do remember, that you need to take 3-5 measurements to be sure you're hitting the target and nothing else (tree branch, ground beyond the target etc.)

I would probly go with a quality scope and separate LRF (price/performance ratio) but that's just me and Finland ain't Norway...
