if I remember correctly, there is a member here who sells adapters. I'm looking for a ID threads of 1/2X36 and OD threads of 1/2X28 so I can use my Trident on my 9mm upper.

Let me know if you happen to know the member handle name. Thanks

it would have to be an extension/adapter.

i dont know if I would like how that would look. if it was kept really short it might look ok.

Many standard threads have been cut to fit without gauges.
How is this a standard?
Size over wires will always be tight.
Can you cut?
If so why do you need a smith?

Many can do some, none can do all.

I second Mark McWillis at TROSUSA. Does really good work. I had him build me an adaptor and he's treaded barrels for me.
