I bought one of the CDNN PBR barreled actions with a 20" fluted barrel and I'll be getting a suppressor soon and was thinking about the AAC 762 SCAR HD. How effed up would it look to have the flutes running right into the back of the mount?

Re: Threading a fluted barrel

It might look pretty tacky.

You could have it threaded into the flutes and have a collar installed to give the suppressor a better shoulder to mount against.

I had a CDNN PBR 20" threaded 18x1 metric for a can. They had to cut the barrel to 19" and then threaded it. This is because the barrel profile tapers and it not large enough in diameter to support a proper shoulder if you left it at 20" and threaded it.

The shoulder is just right before the flutes start.
