I am looking at purchasing an FN five seven. I want to use it with a suppressor. Will I need to buy a new barrel in order to have it threaded, or is the factory barrel long enough?

If I need a new barrel, where would I go about finding one? I don't see them at midway or brownells (which usually have almost everything).

For what its worth it will be used with a thunderbeast 22L-1 threaded 1/2-28.

Re: Threading a Pistol Barrel?

Yeah. I read somewhere that metric threads are necessary in order for the pistol to be disassembled. I guess the 1/2 - 28 are too big. I probably won't have a dedicated can, so I guess I will get an adapter. I'm not excited about the adapter, but the only other option is another $500 can and $200 tax stamp.
