I have a suppressor on the way. I would like to have my Marlin 917 Threaded by the time it gets here. I have a machine shop that threads barrels for 20 bucks, but I could not get the barrel off this gun. It has a pin, but when the pin is popped out the barrel does not budge out of the receiver.
Can anyone advise on how to remove these or other marlin rim-fire rifles barrels?
Do I need the barrel off or can the receiver and barrel both go in the lathe?

Re: Threading Marlin 917 barrel

After seeing the barreled action with the trigger and everything off I was wondering if that was how it was done. I will have to check with the machine shot to see if they will do it that way.
Thanks
