How difficult is it to change a barrel on a tikka rifle?

I would imagine it's not anymore difficult that a win or remmy. Just make sure to use the proper action wrench.

Just like any other rifle. If you rebarrel with a custom bbl...the threads are metric and some gunsmiths won't do them. No harder tahn threading a Rem/Win bbl.

I personally think if there were some decent options for aftermarket stocks for the tikka, you would see more smiths doing them. The action on the tikkas is tops. I will have a custom barrel on a tikka action before long. I am just waiting on a good stock option. Lee

I have a tikka t3 tactical in 223, and its the most accurate production gun I own. I was thinking about getting another in 308 and doing a barrel change to a 260. Thanks to all those offered some info on this subject.
