Tikka CTR barrel question

I have a .308 ctr. I am thinking about buying a takeoff 6.5 CTR barrel. Without ever taking off or installing a barrel on a bolt action rifle. I was wondering if this would be something I would be able to do? If so what tools would i need?

Im guessing a barrel wrench, and an action wrench. Would i need go/no go gauges as well?

I have read they are a pain in the ass to take off. Checkout the gunsmithing section. A week ago a smith was posting about having a tough time and Chad From LRI and a few others gave some advice.
