Hey guys I just got a tikka ctr in 6.5cm, and x ray chassis and put it all together. I went with a vortex pst ii 3-15x44. I got the 0.87 vortex pmr rings and they are super low. I have to push down on the comb hard to get a good visual laying down prone shooting with a bi pod. I will probably sell the rings on e bay, and get another set but don't know what height to run. Most of the x rays I see set up have a 20moa rail added to them and a larger scope with medium rings. I don't think I'll be shooting anything over 500 yards but might some time. What would you recommend? Anyone running this same set up? I know you want to keep it as low as possible but the comb is bottomed out and I could use some room. On a side note the rifle shoots great, I'm impressed. Weighs in at 12.3 lbs with the magazine.

Options are different rings? what height, and Change rail to add more height?

20 moa rail will definitely add a bit of height at the back, probably not too much but it will. Maybe start there and see how it goes. You can always go to higher rings if you still feel you don't have a good enough cheek weld and need to go higher.
