Firearms Tikka T3/Proof Carbon Barreled Action 6.5 SAUM

For sale: Tikka T3 action. The receiver face was opened up and trued by Short Action Customs to accept a 1.2" shank barrel. The action has 1500 rounds on it from the previous SAUM barrel. The barrel is a new 24" Proof Research carbon fiber sendero contour 1:8T. It was chambered by Paradigm Gunworx in 6.5 SAUM. The trigger is factory Tikka with a Yo-Dave kit. Includes a Gen 2 Fat Bastard or Gen 2 Little Bastard and 20 MOA rail. The rail was fitted with a pin and oversized screws for stability on a light build by Precision Rifle Gear. Mountain Tactical bolt knob and metal bolt shroud installed.

The barrel is new/unfired. $1300 OBO shipped to FFL.

Are you sure SAC opened the threads??? Their website specifically says they do not do that.

Was this action originally a magnum or was the bolt faced opened up for the SAUM round from another action?

SAC did not open the threads. SAC milled the action face to accept a 1.2" shank barrel shoulder. The threads are still 1"-16 or the metric equivalent. The bolt face was originally a magnum.

two, he was pretty much giving the action away.

That barrel alone, at $800, plus brake, chambered and threaded would be $1350 or $1410 at my smith.

Let alone truing work, rail, metal shroud, etc.

A bargain all around.
woulda snagged it if I didnt have so many irons in the fire.
