Tikka T3 Tactical .223

Just picked one up and am thinking about a Chassis. Are all T3s the same or are there short and long actions like the R700? Search has shown, 1 action length and they change the bolt stop and insert a block in the mag for different round lengths (magnum, long and short). I just do not know if the 223 is considered short. Want to make sure I get the right chassis.

Pretty sure they're all the same length, with just the bolt stop changing. The bottom metal on the factory rifles is what accounts for the difference in magazine length/size. That being said, IIRC, almost all chassis for Tikka's are set up for the short action length. I've heard of one or two that offer long action length, but never seen one.

If I'm incorrect, I'm sure someone will jump in here to correct me.

FWIW, I have a Tikka T-3 Varmint in .223, and it fits in the short action length chassis (MPA, KRG, etc.)

Thanks, looking at the KRG Bravo. I have one on my Howa 1500 and really like it.
