(Tikka Noob here) I have a tikka t3x lite in 6.5 creedmoor and a KRG bravo stock with a t3x (short action only) inlet. I'd like to convert it to a 6.5 PRC, and I think all I would need is a magnum bolt face and new barrel. I can't find a magnum bolt online, so I was thinking of getting a cheap t3x in 300 WSM and harvesting the action out of it. Only thing I'm worried about is that I've heard you can run into problems with the OAL of 6.5 PRC, so I'm not sure if I should go with a 300WM instead? I know 300WM is a long action, but I hear that the only difference on the tikkas is the bolt stop. Looking for suggestions, advice, or someone willing to trade a used standard bolt for a magnum one.

tikka 'long action' is 3.4 COAL so not enough to really take advantage of 200+ grain 30 cal bullets

a 6.5 PRC/SAUM is a great tikka magnum round that will fit in a AICS magazine.

your plan is good. i'd probably get the tikka in a magnum caliber i'd use to hunt with maybe since you'll have the stock and action already and you cant use the long action in the Bravo (unless you got a LA one and the MDT tikka mags too)
