Tikka T3x Stock for a lefty

I currently have a Tikka T3x Lite in 6.5 Creed as my deer rifle. I have a GA Ultralight Sportsman in jail and I am looking to be able to use this suppressor with the rifle. Since the Tikka barrels seem to not have enough meat on them to thread properly I will likely add a Proof Research pre fit Carbon barrel to accommodate this. Now here goes the ever so challenging task for a lefty....

I would like to stay as lightweight as possible due to the fact that I am hunting out west and hiking miles in a day so a chassis system is definitely out of the question. I have come across the iota Kremlin, Mesa Precision and after speaking to McMillian directly they recommended the Game Warden or the Sako Varmint.

Am I missing anything else in my searching? The Kremlin seems to have great reviews as well as the Game series from McMillan, I have not seen anything about the Sako Varmint yet. I am 100% open to options if anybody has some insight into the ever illusive left hand stocks.

I'll be picking up one of the new Christensen Ridgelines in 300 Win Mag since they recently released long actions in lefty. The suppressor will go back and forth between the two rifles with the Creed being my primary whitetail and Muley rifle and the Win Mag for longer distance shots and bigger game.

I have a Manners Elite Hunter stock on my left hand Tikka and it is quite lite. I'd keep the Tikka factory barrel and have it threaded for your suppressor. Just have someone thread it 9/16-24 and install an adapter to make it 5/8-24.

How do you like the stock? The 10 or so smiths I have talked to have all recommended against threading the factory Tikka barrel. The gent I spoke to at Proof also said they don't recommend threading their pre-fit steel barrel

@GRIFFIN_ARMAMENT do you make 9/16-24 face mount Taper mounts for your silencers?

If the answer is yes that sounds like the best bet for you. Your can attaches with a griffin Taper mount.

If they have a face mount type you can get it threaded 9/16-24 and not lose any length. Send the barreled action and the mount to somebody like @LongRifles Inc. and they can clock it for you.

Trust me I understand the problems of lefty tikkas. Just got mine.

They do make a 9/16-24 taper mount flash suppressor but no brake for the suppressor so I’ll have to give Long Rifles a call tomorrow and see what they say. I don’t mind spending the money on shipping it out to a competent smith if they are confident it will work out. I appreciate the help and responses

It matters if they make a face mount. Tikka lites with a 9/16 thread are a little small for a proper shoulder. Min recommended is 0.662 for shoulder.

To get that on my t3x lite stainless in 6.5 I would have to chop off at least 6". Measuring mine 0.600" back from muzzle I'm only getting 0.617".

So what are you going to do? Swap barrel and stock?
I'm not going the lightweight route. I'm going more for the krg whiskey chassis (best looking chassis in my opinion other than maybe JAE). I am going to need to do something since I currently have more of a jaw weld than cheek weld.

Don't have a rifle can yet. When I do I'm going Thunderbeast who makes a face mount brake. Eventually going to re-barrel to closer to a CTR contour that is threaded 5/8 still with a brake mount.

Back on the stock side it looks like the krg Bravo chassis is only 17 ounces heavier than the factory tupperware. You would have to cut out a bolt handle groove but that can be done with a round file. It's what I will have to do eventually. Unless @Massoud gives us that as a factory option.

Gotcha. I spoke to GA today and they have a 1/2-28 taper mount brake for the 30 cal. I spoke to Silencer central and they said threading to 1/2-28 is no issue on the Tikka barrel. Still waiting to hear back from Long Rifle too. I had a CTR for a while but a buddy wanted it bad so sold it to him. I am a Tikka fan to say the least

So, what did you end up doing for your lefty stock?
Ended up getting Griffin's 1/2-28 EZ Brake. They became available a couple weeks ago right as my tax stamp finally arrived at the dealer! This can was a super fast one with the exception of waiting on stamp back to the dealer. Purchased 7/13, check cashed 8/5, approved 12/15, stamp to dealer 2/5.
