Looking at 6.5 Creedmoor Tikka T3x options. I had initially decided on a TAC A1 which has had plenty of great feedback! Recently, I have considered getting the CTR and placing it in a chassis. From my understanding, they are essentially the same rifle apart from the single stage trigger in the CTR. Anyone that has gone this route care to share your results? What chassis are you using? Anyone have any experience with the MDT LSS-XL Gen 2 chassis? The price difference is so close that it is not a factor.

I will likely add either the YoDave trigger springs or a Timney trigger.

Fair enough.

But I'd seriously try and find a match if you havent played with any chassis yet. You'll find mpa manners krg xlr mdt etc and guys will always let you feel them up

What you think you'll like from pics may not feel right in person. I'm sure there are dozens of guys who would agree that they've done a bit of spending to find what works best for them myself included

I just got purchased the 6.5 CTR, installed my MDT LSS XL Gen 2 stock, and installed the Mountain tactical trigger spring (same as YoDave i believe). I purchased the chassis that takes a collapsible Ar type stock and i really like how it came out and the CTR with Hornady 140gr and 147 grain ammo shoot extremely well.

I have both in 6.5 and .308. The TAC folding stock is great but I didn't like the ergonomics off of the bench. I bought a CTR, Timney 2 stage and a GRS Bifrost and it fits Me perfectly. BUT it is really a matter of Your preference since I am an old fart that is set in His ways LOL

Took a couple of quick pictures while heading out this morning, not the best camera . Forgot to mention, patriot valley arms jet blast break. First break i have owned and i'm really happy with it. Vortex viper PST Gen2 5-25.
