I beg to differ. President Trump has not hired any "yes men." He has hired people he thought were best for the job. He will replace any of them if he finds some one better. After all he became famous for the trademarked phrase "You're FIRED."
I think John Bolton would have been my pick for SS.
Im not sold on Pompeo when he was picked CIA as he seems to endorse the surveillance state.
Still this is a good move.
I dont think Tillerson had the balls for "bold moves" he seemed to be more of a status quo guy and why not, the status quo suits his lifestyle just fine.

At least this could make bribing officials a bit more difficult... check twitter before paying out agreed to bribe.... might have to start all over again.
And Tillerson was an extremely competent businessman. But he was recommended for SecState by the Bush Swamp... He was the choice of W... and Condi and Rumsfeld...
There was a great point made by a commentator today that the Trump folks never expected to win. Maybe at the last minute... they knew it was going their way. But, unlike most Swamp-dwellers, they did not have a completely ready-to-roll cast of cronies ready to fill every office with their swamp-friends.
Trump took advice from, in some ways, the opposition when it came to Tillerson. And I liked the choice. He was an outsider. But he and Trump did not see eye-to-eye. Tillerson is a globalist and very tied to establishment dogma. That's not Trump's pragmatism and America-first outlook. They clashed. Therefore Tillerson needs go to. He is anything but stupid. He is a great man, a great businessman and a great intellect. But not cut out to be Trump's Sec State.
Pompeo is a Trump insider and a condindante and, at this point. a trusted ally. He will do great. And he will engineer some major wins.
As for Gina. She is a rock star, as I said above. The Dems will do ANYTHING to keep a DO person from becoming DCI. She is in for a rough confirmation, but she is one of a handful of people who will run the Agency as it should be run. Funny, the Dems will be torn... they will hate the fact that she is a red-meat-eating American patriot who will rip the liver out of an enemy and eat it rare on a plate of onion rings... but she is also a woman... and there has never been a woman DCI. This is going to be great!

Haspel looks like a strategic nomination. It’ll will be interesting watch the media spins the torture angle (she ran a black site in 2002 in Thailand). I expect lots of grandstanding and little real probing. If she really started answering questions, some folks may not want to have it stated for the record.

This is great news for our country, but better news for countries around the world. Rex argued with Trump on many issues, which is fine, and he was around for a while. I think Rex being weak on the Iran deal and doing nothing about the people of Iran who are standing up to the Mullahs and preparing to remove them, was the last straw. The timing is perfect, however. I agree the Rex might have Bush swamp ties, but we know for sure that Trump owes nobody anything. You do a great job or you're fired. Or you get replaced because you did the job you were hired to do. Trump is a boss with very high energy and very high expectations. Pompeo knows whats going on. The bad guys are shitting their pants. Not to mention, the dems are preparing to run a few ex-cia in the midterms. The left has been losing on every front. Look how crazy they are going. It's remarkable. Trump makes them explain their true feelings on every issue and they eat themselves. They can't take the middle ground because thats where Trump starts his negotiation. If they agree with him, then Trump looks like a great guy who is willing to meet with both sides and come to an agreement. They wouldn't do that on any issue because they dont want to legitimize him. So Trump starts in the middle, which pisses some on the right off, knowing the left wont make any deal, regardless of how reasonable it would be to most moderate lefty/rightys. Now he is off the hook for having to do anything the left wants and his supporters are just glad the left didnt agree. But they can't agree on anything at this point. They've spent too much time and money trying to discredit and impeach him so they are all in. It's really too easy to play them. I'm starting to believe his uncle, John Trump, who studied Nikola Tesla's work for 15 years (after Nikola died) and returned it all saying he found nothing, made a time machine. This shit is too perfect. This timeline is amazing. What a time to be alive. Stay vigilant, Patriots.
