Before you stroke a check to those greedy fuckers, get them to negotiate the price down. Play the woe is me fiddle for all it's worth and when they cut that bill in half, then pay the lady. Don't forget to get a receipt.

My ex took my kid to the urgent care this last summer.
My insurance has a small copay if we go my my company’s hospitals or urgent cares. Including the dr bill. Then got a bill for the dr for almost $1400.
Called them to ask why. Some crap about they didnt have all the insurance contracts signed. I refused to pay and told the lady I would take it up with my insurance.
She put me on hold for a couple minutes to talk to a supervisor.
Came on and told me it was written off. Had them send me a statement showing such.
Holler if you want tips. I know all the best things to argue.
Then perhaps you can buy a couple boxes or cases of ammo instead!

Go to an antique clothing store and buy a dress from the 19th century. Wear it when yo go in to talk about the bill. Tell them that you identify as a pioneer woman from the Oregon Trail and that unless they allow you to pay your bill in period relevant prices, you're going to consider them to be hostile and offensive towards your right to be who you think you are.
